Terms of Service
The basis on which we provide our assessment and rehabilitation service. Please read these before you book.
Last updated: [ effective date ]
These terms apply when you book or receive a service from Arthrospective. By booking, you agree to them. Arthrospective is a trading name of Stellarix Ltd (company number 06620950, registered office 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU), referred to here as "we", "us" and "our".
1. What our service is, and is not
We provide an independent expert assessment and advice service for people considering a knee injection for osteoarthritis, together with optional rehabilitation support. We review your history, imaging and goals, and give you an honest opinion on whether an injection such as Arthrosamid is likely to suit you, followed by a written summary you keep.
Our service is not a substitute for the care of your GP or a treating clinician, and it is not an emergency service. If your symptoms are severe or worsening rapidly, or you feel unwell, please contact your GP, NHS 111, or emergency services as appropriate.
2. Our independence
We do not perform injections as part of this service, and we accept no referral fee or commission of any kind from any treatment provider. Our only income is the fee you pay us directly, and that fee is the same whatever we conclude. This is deliberate, and it is what allows us to give you a genuinely impartial opinion, including telling you when an injection is not your best next step.
3. Booking, fees and payment
Our current fees are shown on our website and are confirmed to you when you book through our online booking system. Payment is taken at the point of booking unless we agree otherwise. Your fee covers our professional time and judgement, and the written recommendation that follows. The fee remains payable whether or not we find you suitable for an injection.
4. Changing or cancelling your appointment
[ Set your cancellation policy here. A common, fair approach for a professional appointment: ]
- You may reschedule or cancel with at least [ 48 ] hours' notice for a full refund or free rescheduling.
- For cancellations with less than [ 48 ] hours' notice, or a missed appointment, we may retain [ all or part ] of the fee to cover the reserved time.
- If we ever need to change or cancel your appointment, we will offer you the earliest suitable alternative or a full refund.
5. What you agree to provide
The quality of our advice depends on the accuracy of what you tell us. You agree to give us honest and reasonably complete information about your symptoms and medical history, and to share any relevant scans or reports you have. A video assessment is a careful screen based on your history and imaging; it cannot include a hands-on examination, so where that would change our view, we will say so and may recommend a home visit or further imaging first.
6. Your recommendation, and your decision
Our written recommendation is expert advice to help you make a well-informed decision. It is not a prescription or a referral, and it does not commit you to anything. Any decision to proceed with treatment is yours, and any treatment is carried out by a provider of your choice, under their own terms and responsibility. We cannot guarantee any particular clinical outcome, as outcomes depend on factors outside our service.
7. Rehabilitation
Where we provide rehabilitation, we do so with reasonable skill and care, and we tailor it to your circumstances. As with any exercise-based programme, results vary between individuals, and you agree to tell us of any change in your condition so we can adjust your plan safely.
8. Professional standards and complaints
Our lead clinician is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), and works within the relevant professional standards. If you are unhappy with any part of our service, please tell us at hello@arthrospective.com so we can address it. This does not affect any rights you have under consumer law.
9. Liability
We provide our service with reasonable skill and care. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under law. Subject to that, we are not liable for decisions you make, or treatment you receive, from other providers, nor for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. We hold appropriate professional indemnity cover.
10. Your information
We handle your personal and health information in line with our Privacy Notice, which forms part of these terms.
11. Website content
The content of this website is provided for general information and does not constitute individual clinical advice. The text, design and materials on this site are owned by us and may not be copied or reused without our permission.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on our website at the time you book.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Arthrospective is an independent assessment service. We will not perform your injection, and we receive no referral fee or commission from any provider. Any treatment decision remains yours, and any treatment is carried out by a provider of your choice.
